Great Trips for the Recent Graduate
London, United Kingdom
So, for the last four years, you’ve studied. You’ve struggled. You’ve envisioned a world beyond dorms, library shelves and what seemed like infinite office hours with professors. Well, you’ve graduated and now that world you’ve dreamed of is (almost) a reality. It’s time to jump into it.
What better way to get your feet wet than to travel? We have six of our favorite cities that are perfect for a trip to celebrate your new beginning.
London
Forget about William and Kate, this city offers culture and fun beyond the Royals. From shopping on Oxford Street to taking in the neon lights of Piccadilly Circus, London is perfect entryway into the Euro-way of life and the excitement that ensues.
Las Vegas
You’ve probably been to Vegas with your parents when you were a kid and stayed in one of the Disney-approved resorts. But, now that you can legally throw ‘em back at the bar, imagine what Vegas has in store. Plus, there’s more to Sin City than the
Strip (or strippers): spas, luxury shopping outlets, and fantastic shows to name a few.
Berlin
Once famous for a communist-constructed wall dividing the East from West, Berlin is now the toast of Europe. With world-class art galleries, out of this world clubs that pop up like weeds, inspiring street art and street fashion galore, this German metropolis is one to experience.
San Francisco
The Bay Area is one of the most culturally diverse districts in the United States, and one of the most beautiful. Take a helicopter ride and fly under the Golden Gate Bridge, dine at one of the hundreds of great restaurants, or head to Union Square and spend some of that graduation money at any store imaginable, from Guess to Gucci.
Amsterdam
Always a favorite for the wild at heart, this Dutch city on the water is famous for its culture (Van Gogh) and notorious Red Light District. Enough said.
New York City
New York still reigns as the best city in the world. Great people, endless culture, amazing food, iconic sights. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a new beginning.
