Story Comments:

Excellent segment on Paris which merely continues the trend established in prior segments. I remain bewildered as to how a seven (7) minute videoblog can give the same sensation as if I had watched an hour long travel documentary.... My hat goes off to Nelson and his production team. Please keep up the good work!

Incredibly entertaining and informative, Mr. George! Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. When I go to Paris in a month, I plan to visit those very sites you just mentioned in your video because I am an avid fan of both James Baldwin's and Richard Wright's work.

Great Job!! You are soo right about the break dancing ..everytime we went to a diffrent tourist site there was tons of Michael Jackson and Tons of Break Dancing or the Moon Walk!! Yes and the Guys with the Key Chains !! Trying to sell them for One Euro Each!! I remember we were able to get about 25 for one euro!! Great video..brings back memories!!!

Great video. Paris is a fantastic city that I never get tired of. Everyone should experience it. I think some people get scared because of the stories about French rudeness, but I've never encountered it personally. And I'm glad you show how great Paris is as a walking city. It's the best way to discover the city.

Great video. This is one of my favorite cities....I feel like I need to go back and see some of the many things you mentioned.

I enjoyed Paris as well, I went to Le'Harve when I was in the Navy, and I took the two day Paris tour. Well...it ended up being more than two days because I missed the tour bus back to my ship. I stay for an extra day and had a WONDERFUL time.

Thanks for that tour! I've been to Paris and other parts of France on many occasions, and as a Morehouse grad, I've got to give a shout out to the first African-American owned restaurant in Paris: http://spiritofblackparis.blogspot.com/2009/12/goodbye-haynes-hello-again-miles.html I was fortunate enough to eat there when it was open. One of the best and most memorable nights in the city.
